Ok, so perhaps V.I.K.T.O.R. won't replace Walter Murch or Thelma Schoonmaker anytime soon, but this app that automatically assembles clips and photos from your iPhone and transforms them into mini-movies is another viable example of software-assisted creativity.
There's a clever notion here. Our new mobile devices make it so easy to record content that we never have enough time to edit it all. What if there was an app that could "automagically" do the heavy lifting for us and edit together the footage from a birthday party, concert, and so on?
The app is free, and though I normally shy away from software that's anthropomorphized, I'm going to install it on my iPhone right now. Expect a review in the coming weeks. Hopefully by then I won't have been replaced by a blog post writing app named B.E.N. (Blogging Electronically Now).
